So have you stayed there?
Thanks.
Stayed at this property Summer 2021 with my wife and our two kids. It's basically what you'd expect from a Holiday Inn Express. The rooms were smallish but clean. Everything was in working order. The pool -- indoors in an atrium - was nicer and larger than most HIX's
This is about as close as you're going to get to most of the South Rim attractions if you're not staying in the park -- it was something like fifteen minutes to the Visitor Center/Mather Point area, a little more to Grand Canyon Village. and still more to the overlooks along Desert View Drive. The restaurants in Tusayan are definitely of the tourist trap variety (pizza/McDonald's), but our kids probably preferred that. Tusayan is pretty compact and walkable -- we could walk to the IMAX complex, for example.
The big advantage for us in staying at this property was that we could use points and we did not have to reserve as far in advance as we would have had to for one of the lodges in the park itself.
