Bearing in mind that I have zero personal experience with TWOV, the following is my advice for your case:
-print out the relevant text on exit ports the day before you travel to Guangzhou, and highlight Shekou
-buy a Shekou-Macau ferry ticket
-also buy a CAN-HKG airplane ticket on Priceline (that you can cancel within 24 hours)
