that's ok.
'luxury' sure seems like a well-protected - if elusively undefined- word round these parts. properties w names like like 'conrad' and '1hotel' and 'jw marriott'.... often dont pass collective up-to-par muster in this sub.
while i dont always understand why some awful IC or PH properties don't seem to face the same kind of scrutiny and policing here as newer/younger brands, i can appreciate this comment, katv. this conrad definitely not cheval or airelles or aman or anything such, it's true. it's simply a really beautiful, thoughtfully designed modern city hotel, and at current pricepoint offers a tremendous value for (what some consider) a 'luxury' hotel in l.a. nothing more, but definitely nothing less.
i'll leave it to someone w more FT experience/cred - like you, katw, or one of the mods - to strike from this 'luxury' sub if necessary. maybe it belongs in a hilton sub or something.
meantime, kat, i'd humbly suggest it take something more substantive than the silly photos attached as a small part of my review for you to write off this conrad as 'non luxury' in full, forever and ever. maybe have a look at the website or someone/anyone else's photos for much better visuals.
i'm a musician, not a photographer.
