If you're looking for a 3:2 BJ, Resorts World puts you closer downtown so an Uber is cheaper. Also it's right across the street from Tacos El Gordo.

Venetian is a great hotel as well but pricy because it's close to the strip. Don't sleep on the Casino restaurants--there's great food in most casinos. Sometimes pricy but usually excellent.
Not to split hairs, but the Venetian is on the Strip, not just close to it. So is Palazzo. Both have great standard rooms (650-700+ square feet, very nicely appointed). For casual dining in both I really like the Grand Lux Cafe -- I know it's part of the Cheesecake Factory family, but the menu is huge and everything I've ever ordered has been very good. Prices are a bit high, but there are some good lunch portions that are well priced. Serving sizes are too big, most of the time!
