I suppose they’ll continue waving the « passenger numbers under 2019 levels » and « staff shortage » flags for a while still. Let’s hope that when/if a lounge reopens it’s not on the other side of the airport.

I’m sure a deal could be struck with a hotel…. For a price.
Back 5 years ago (even more), AF had a plan to move the arrival lounge to 2E (logical) by 2020-2021, but they made clear that this was not a priority and it would come after all departure lounges refurbishment / new lounges (2F, 2G and the 3 2E ones). Fair enough, as departure lounges are certainly more important than arrival one, and the 2C one was prolonged. But they had financial problems as you all know and the pandemic seems to have killed this project and AF seems to have no more plan for it, and final disaster : they closed definitely the 2C arrival lounge. I said several times to them that it was a mistake. Such service is important for business travelers and most other airline hubs are proposing this service. I also said that in the meantime, they could either make a deal with one of the CDG hotels or allowing pax to go to a departure lounge. But, for the former they don’t want to pay (although I am not sure it would cost more than operating a lounge within ADP infrastructure), and for the latter, they claim it’s not possible because ADP and other blabla (in clear, nobody wants to address the problem because they believe it’s not important).
