Just finished my trip mid January everything was fine. Online check in with hand luggage only, on the way back was stopped by boarding gate as document needed to be verified manually. Also was lucky to be on newest A350 business class with a door, seated 2J with a cabinet on the side with loads of space. Same £800ish fare booked with IB.
