As an update, we boarded tonight at CHS our CRJ900 (DL4762) and pushed back; after 2 meters Captain recognized that positioning lights are not working. Delayed by a few hours now but pointless for me anyway as my flight to LHR from JFK would leave without me anyway.

Got a super good gate agent (Maria - super friendly) at CHS who rebooked me via ATL tomorrow so at home 20hours late.

Downside is that no outlet at CHS would accept my barcode/ email food vouchers (needs to be printed but given the long queue wasn’t keen to get back) and I was able to select the Courtyard North Charleston as my hotel, but there wasn’t any reservation for me when I came for check in (think sorted by now).

The app is a little bit disappointing- says still awaiting push back - but thanks to Maria I have my new BP anyway (and luckily no check in luggage).

Anyway things can happen; as I am just myself it’s manageable but would not be overly happy if traveling with wife + baby + luggage.

The voucher should have a crrdit card number on them. All they do is enter that just like a manual credit card transaction. You can even use in an app to load a gift card, etc. (Note the merchant may try and authorize a dollar more than purchase amount)

FWIW, Canadian Passport, have TSA Pre (Nexus)

Date 1:
May 22nd, 2023 (Long weekend for Canadians FWIW)
Inbound Flight FRA-JFK on SQ, arriving at 11:10am, no checked luggage
Outbound Flight JFK-YYZ on AC, leaving at 1:25pm, no checked luggage (or gate checked depending on how generous the gate agents are feeling)

Date 2:
Oct 19, 2023
Inbound Flight YYZ-JFK on AC, arriving at 10:06pm no checked luggage (or gate checked depending on how generous the gate agents are feeling)
Outbound Flight JFK-HKG on CX, leaving at 12:25am no checked luggage

Would these be feasible? I think Date 1 is very doable but Date 2 can seem concerning because I've been burned by AC delaying a flight extremely long time before (forcing me to miss ANA F...)
Otherwise I'll be routing through LGA (flying into LGA at around 6:41pm to account for ~1h commute to JFK [overkill, yes]).

TIA!
I don't believe AC serves JFK. Are you sure your AC isn't to LGA or EWR?

ETA - Just looked on specific date. It does appear AC will be flying to JFK, but to/from Terminal 7. SQ will use T4 (same as DL).

Coming back shouldn't be an issue. You'll clear US immigration and customs in Canada. Thus arrive just like a domestic flight. The main issue will be delayed/cancellation. AC partner UA doesn't operate from JFK. Thus the AC JFK flights will likely be delayed/ canceled before EWR/LGA. Also they're on AC RJ, so even more prone.

Departing to YYZ, shouldn't be an issue, unless SQ is delayed. Even with the terminal change, with no bags, it should be fairly easy. Checkin online just to make sure dont run up against a checkin deadline. Don't forget that since have NEXUS you can use the Global Entry line at JFK.
