- Are Emirates flights currently able to earn UA EQM (or whatever they are called now)?
- If not now, will they be in the spring when the codeshares begin?
- Will the EQM only be on the codeshares? I.E. Only for EWR-DXB and not IAD-DXB?
If there's no earning potential, I don't really understand how this is beneficial.
No.
Maybe.
Too soon to tell -- but it's not EWR-DXB that would be codeshared; it'd be flights like DXB-BKK (and possibly IAD-DXB). EWR-DXB is just a regular UA flight. But, yes, there is a possibility that the flights might earn UA credit only if they have a UA code.
