That's a good idea, and I did think of it, but only after I'd already boarded. Next time I try this, I am just going to have them show me their ticket and enter the PNR and name in the "Find a trip" page in my account to see if I can do an UG that late on the App.

I am not a GS, although my spend this year is up towards 50K and I might make it?
I am not going to complain because I didn't get the GA's name, nor the names of the two fellows that I tried to UG. So there are no corroborating witnesses.
