I checked into a Residence Inn for a four night stay and found out that they are not offering breakfast for anyone. The next morning, I asked the front desk about it and they claimed that since they don't offer breakfast the daily rate is cheaper (my cynical thought that I kept to myself was, "cheaper in reference to what?" They did give me points upon request (although 1,000 points for four breakfastless nights doesn't seem appropriate to me). I only asked for points after the Titanium helpline suggested that I do so. The general Residence Inn page makes me think one should assume that breakfast will always be offered at RIs. Has this property just gone completely rogue?

Not naming the hotel yet because I try to do that judiciously, but if others agree this is bad behavior on this RI's part I'll share.
