Because the seat map is not an accurate reflection of the seats that have been sold.
My half-assed guess is that IT has picked the successful bid upgrades and seated them, but is holding out on confirmation in the off chance the seats will sell.
No. Bid upgrades have nothing to do with it. The short answer is Amadeus is stupid and blocks seats for staff passes and waitlisted eUps even though they are not confirmed in J. Please see
