Vacation travel yesterday to SJD, received the breakfast pre-order email and completed it for myself and my better half. After takeoff, FA took orders front to back, got to us in the last row and said “It looks like they didn’t cater your meals, sorry. I have waffles left, would you like them”? Neither of us eat waffles, so I declined and asked for something from the back. I was offered a Take off snack box and declined (8am flight). I told her to forget food and I’ll just have a mimosa. Guess what? No bubbles catered either. Pathetic performance from UA. I wrote in and got a canned response “As one of our most valued customers we will strive to do better blah blah” and a $200 ETC. I don’t want or need the ETC, I need them to actually do a better, more consistent job.
