This is not the case. I (1K status) am on a flight booked in A class and am #2, behind a person with no premier status (none whatsoever) who is being sponsored by a GS PlusPoints having an economy fare (Fare Class W) and they are still ahead of me. Sucks cause with the market on Ebay there are a lot of GSs selling their points.
