Boy this is nuanced, and as I read question again, well.... I was responding with regards to the impact on GS qualification. Having done many Lufthansa / UA flights, I recall the LH booked tickets (vs 016 United tickets) won't go toward the mythical PQP/$ spend requirement for GS qualification. Yes, the miles themselves will post over into your account. Hope this helps
