I just successfully (it appears) applied a Status Pass to a booking with first leg departing in under 3 hours. It gave me an error when I first tried it, so I thought maybe the 6-hour limit might apply here as well, but when I tried again, it told me one had already been applied, and when I pull up the PNR, it shows the congratulatory message with the overview of the benefits.
