This is 100% the case.

I'm an EXP for 3 years, mostly "just barely" cross over into EXP. My upgrade hit out of ORD is consistently way higher this year than just before the shutdowns (I still continued to fly all during quarantine). Folks I know should get upgraded before me are now shuttling back to MCE while I'm upgrading T-100 more often than not. I am NOT a big spender, but I am paying the LP system somewhat, so it must be helping.

I fly out of AUS once every few months and I am always surprised how many seats up front go empty up until the gate takes over. I always thought it was a HEAVY HEAVY elite spot, but perhaps the recent unmentionables have changed that?
