The FTV is date stamped at the BA end, and I imagine you have screen shots at your end too. You won't get the EC261 component for delay, because you were not delayed on the flight in question, but you do get EC261 for the refund cancellation since the flight was more than 5 hours delayed. You don't need to accept an FTV or eVoucher, you can have cash.

For the amount in question, BA vouchers are pretty close to cash for me. But it's nice to know that I am entitled to a cash refund when I finally get through to BA...
