Pinkerton our champ on recent swing thru Austin-S.A.

Putting in my two cents for Pinkerton. Hit the downtown location in San Antonio 2x on a recent trip. Outstanding. Brisket, pulled pork & ribs were all top notch as well. Good margaritas. Our kids were obsessed with the Mac & cheese that had a hint of rosemary, hence the return trip for lunch before the flight home.

Did the food truck (forgetting name - J&B?) at Cosmic in Austin on a Sunday afternoon. Waited 1.5 hrs in line on strength of a Texas Magazine ranking only to have the couple in front of us get the last brisket order. Barbacoa was nevertheless very good, and the location on a sunny February afternoon in the 60s was great.

Also did Salt Lick in Driftwood and was underwhelmed. No wait for lunch mid-week but the brisket was dry.
