.... and yet, the above link seems to exclude VS Golds travelling UK-US on Delta metal (which can't be right).

Worse, this link https://flywith.virginatlantic.com/g...rt-lounge.html excludes VS Golds period! So good to see the above link in that regard.

The OP would have had access to the T3 No1 Lounge as explained on AF/KLM websites.
I can also see why the VS agent might have been confused when seeing the words 'travelling with us' and assuming that exact phrasing included VS sold reward flights ex-LHR. Why not instead just say flying on VS or DL planes ex-LHR?
