I didn't know about the double points, so that's given me something new to think about. I've found a couple of reasonable 5 day breaks over the weekend to Sofia in September. About £480 with car hire and about £650 at the Intercontinental in the centre. Hiring a car and driving up into the mountains with a hotel for about £200 sounds like fun.
