There is a revenue share on AA/B6 flights that touch BOS and NYC, so AA is still getting their cut.
There is the potential for AA to do some of the NEA flying, likely on routes that have decent domestic first class (recliner) demand or for which jetBlue does not have the correct size airplane (e.g. the 76-seat E175 or 128-seat A319).
