The Doubletree has finally reopened 2 floors, more soon. I talked to reception last week. Not sure about their shuttle but in the past they would provide a voucher for taxi to/from LAX. Saw one recent review (post reno) that was positive. Walkable to that In’Out.
The HGI is just down the street from the Doubletree. Doesn’t sound like it’s being kept up from recent reviews. Very quiet area for both these hotels.
Not sure MdR is worth the $. Stayed there before it was rebranded. Unless they have improved the soundproofing, got no sleep at all. Very noisy.
