You hear a lot these days about people losing the keys to their Bitcoin. This is not that different.
I am confused about your statement.
A gift card (let us say an e gift card) is sent by email to my name,
So one can access it by entering gift card number and pin.
But could not AC gift cards be listed- eg if one signs onto one's Aeroplan account? in a similar manner that one's AC ticket (revenue or Aeroplan) are listed.
You enter your user id, password - click onto Aeroplan account. Then you click on the link with your AC bookings, and the whole list of upcoming bookings appears.
if one signs into one's Aeroplan account, could not the gift cards assigned to that individual without entering the card number and/or the PIN number.
Obviously, AC does not have that system in place.
So my question- if one loses gift card pin number - what does one do (but one has the gift card number)? I have one gift card in that scenario- I can not remember if there is an outstanding balance on it, or not.
So my second question
I think I had a notification email of a second gift card some time ago - which was obviously sent to me originally by email.
I lost the email. Can I find the gift card online through my AC/Aeroplan account? if so, how? if not, would it help if I contact AC by telephone, to help me find that gift card?
This gift card likely does not have a positive balance, but I want to check that this is indeed the case by accessing this gift card.
