I did it twice in Dec. No problems getting the SOF-LHR-USA boarding pass after doing Verifly as all you needed was to be vaccinated and have a lateral flow test within a day. Checked in online and BPs downloaded
Going LHR-SOF worked fine in Verifly, but you could only check in at the airport as they wanted to see the PCR test result etc.
Now you don't need one, should be even easier
