Kudos to AA for notification in time instead of rolling delays then cancel. And the online change system is getting pretty good.

However, while understand that airlines usually give limited flexibility when there are IRROPS due to weather I find it illogical that if your outbound is cancelled they won't make similar accommodations for your return if it falls outside the waiver window (e.g. move both back a week instead of just the outbound ) when they are pretty clearly tied together in a short span of time that just happens to fall outside of the waiver window. Is this a HUACA situation or is the system just not allowed to do that without price difference?
