I flew YYT - YYZ - YVR - YXJ on Dec 31, 2021 and it was a terrible experience. Many cancellations and delays due to Covid and staff shortages. The travel to and from can really make or break a trip and I'm curious to know how flight schedules have been over the past few weeks.
The week prior to Dec, 31, YVR got a lot of snow.
Between the snow, covid, and higher load factors, the schedule for a few weeks was a mess.
Currently it seems like less flights are being scheduled, less people are travelling, the snow has melted in YVR.
OTP to/from YVR is much better now than over the holidays.
Public health guidance is changing. The asymptomatic don't need to isolate for as long if at all.
As long as the weather is good, and the plane doesn't break down, your trip should be fine.
But I know that's asking a lot!
