I do recall very distinctly taking on the 3rd of april 1988 SQ16 SIN-TPE-HNL-LAX. twas a 743 (9V-SKA) . Took another 743 (SQ15 coming home exactly the opposite direction 8april). N124KK it was.

I didn't know there was such a thing as raffles or first. I thought my Y seat was as good as it got. Krisworld was some big screen movie. ended up listening to an easy listening channel and i must have gotten 5 or 6 laps round the entire compilation from HNL-TPE. George Micheal's father figure was a track on that playlist that i remember - crossing the vast expanse of the pacific in the dark listening to that track is eerie.

Sorry for dragging this thing off topic. just brought back some memories of what flying was like then for me
