I feel like I know the answer to this, but just want to confirm.
For my upcoming flight to Chicago I requested an upgrade using plus points (I'm Premier Platinum). It's less than 3 days before the flight and it's still not cleared. I checked the upgrade list and I'm 8th in the queue, and there are only 7 seats left. I'm guessing at this point the only way I can upgrade is by paying for the seat?
