Actively avoiding staying in Pudong (which is sterile and boring IMO) so that rules out the Regent, MO, and PH. Agree with you that the Portman Ritz hard product is pretty bad. I wouldn't really consider it a luxury hotel at this point. I try to Didi as much as possible in Shanghai because I'd rather deal with traffic than packed subway cars. Currently leaning Bulgari and Middle House. Thx.
