Does anyone know what happened to the former Four Seasons Hotel in Puxi? I closed last year for a renovation but oddly they dropped it entirely from the website... with other renovation projects (think Istanbul or Beirut, which is closed after the accident) they kept the web presence. So somehow I have a feeling FS Puxi will not re-open anytime soon or at all?

The owner of that property is Fungseng Prosperity Holdings Limited. I am not quite sure on this but I think it is related to the Cheng family, the owners of Rosewood. If this is true, it could be that they have ended the partnership with FS, as they develop a Rosewood. I may be wrong here. Or we are looking at a situation like Bangkok, where they closed one hotel and opened at a different location with a new partner. In this case, the hotel might not be ready until 2025.

After the loss of FS Pudong, it was nice to have the Puxi property undergoing renovations and opening up with a brand new product.

Would be interesting if anyone residing in Shanghai with knowledge of the property knows more.
