Yes, booked prepaid and attached Marriott number. My understanding is that you get your status benefits but don’t get credits for nights because it’s booked via a 3rd party. This is my first time doing this so I don’t know for sure, but the stay did not apply to my nights stayed on my bonvoy account
I did have a few prepaid FHR bookings with St Regis Bangkok in 2019 & before and got both 5x AMEX points as well as elite benefits + points & night credit. The only complain is the USD/THB FX rate which is defined by hotel not current market rate and makes your $100 credit more like $85.
So going forward, I may use STARS instead of AMEX FHR prepaid if I won't get points and night credit.
