They're not nationally known names but we do now have some members of Congress publicly saying that travel restrictions should be lifted. I don't know why they specifically mention omit the Schengen countries from their request but it's good to see this kind of public pressure on the increase.

In their own eyes,
every member of Congress is/should be a nationally known name.
Also, there have been articles today about Chuck Schumer (the Senate majority leader, for the non-Americans reading this) complaining about the borders still being closed.
That could start to move things, depending on how hard Schumer wants to push this.
