You'll also have to overnight in Addis (STPC) if you use the routing via Ghana. If time is no concern and you enjoy the flying part of the journey, the routing via ACC will probably be less stressful - I have found that the overnight at the Skylight Hotel in Addis on ET's dime to be quite refreshing and I feel a lot less fatigued/jetlagged when I eventually reach my destination. And the A350 product is much better than the 787, if only for the WiFi.
That's an interesting perspective! I can't say I've ever thought of flying in a restful/refreshing way, but that makes a lot of sense with an extra free hotel night on Africa time and airline dime. You clearly have a ton of knowledge with all this stuff. I budgeted 3 days to get there as I thought I was going to take a similarly long route through DEL, but can't get that for miles. So I have the time for the extended routing. How does that hotel night work? [edit: just watched a YT vid on it and it looks pretty simple]
