To be clear, when you applied online did you see a Popup stating that you were ineligible for a bonus, or was the application fully processed, and you were declined for the card? If American Express declined the application they must tell you the reason in writing, and the credit bureau(s) they used. Have you checked your credit report at that agency to verify that there is no unauthorized activity or inaccurate information?
