Nice to see see someone NOT extolling the cheapness of Dubai taxis! They're (generally) abundant, safe and comfortable: but not so cheap - congestion often sees to that. Public transport is an attractive option, especially when it's not business-related journey. The hotel's a short walk (around15 minutes), Uber ride or bus to Union Metro, then it's something like 20 minutes to Dubai Mall on the Red line.
