I understand that. But fee or tax for AA flight award has been identical between redeeming AA miles and BA miles for US-Asia (as well as US domestic) until now. And according to ITA matrix, DFW-ICN has the same extra fees including the "carrier-imposed surcharge" of $130 but BA doesn't charge it on the non-stop. All are surprising to me but I must be in the minority here. Appreciate your help, though.
