It's crazy to think the southern pier security upgrade took as long as it did!
After they switched to the upgraded intl screening area 100% of the time a few weeks ago rather than using the old JQ screening things have actually been pretty quick.
Is it that or have they been waiting for AirNZ to get their schedule up enough to warrant the reopening as need the gate space? AirNZ would have also saved money not having the regional lounge open.
How is the domestic lounge at peak times? Is it also that is filling up so at the point to reopen the regional lounge, so ok to put the domestic lounge behind security again?
