Scotland further restrictions
With effect from 5 January
Amending legislation https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ssi/2021/1/contents/made

Applies for all Level 4 areas which is pretty much all of mainland Scotland, see post 488 for the current list of areas https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/32910475-post488.html

Restrictions on gatherings
- No gatherings indoors in a public place of more than two persons from no more than two households (previously this was no more than six persons)
- No gatherings outdoors in a public place of more than two persons from no more than two households (previously this was no more than six persons)
- No gatherings in private dwellings outdoors of no more than two persons from no more than two households (previously this was no more than six persons)

Restrictions on leaving home
- If you live in a Level 4 area you must not leave your home
- Usual reasonable excuses apply, so going to get food or medical supplies, work where it is not possible to do so from home, childcare, seeking medical assistance, moving home, etc,
- Leaving home to undertake outdoor exercise or recreation is allowed, but must start and end at the same place, and that place must be in or within 5 miles of the local government area in which you live, and done alone or with members of your household only

Restrictions for business & places of worship
- No changes but I understand this will happen with effect from Friday so there may be separate amending legislation to cover that
- Now published https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ssi/2021/3/contents/made takes effect from 8 January, main restriction is closing places of worship in any Level 4 area.
