Over here it's a grey, gloomy, cold-humid weekend, and went for a walk over past London City. A sad sight. BA have pretty much given up here on most days. There are just seven departures today, and in fact a Luxair DH8-400 actually departed whilst over there. Wonder how many (or few) passengers they had. Nothing else active.10 BA Embraers parked there, most seem not to have moved for months now, the rest of their fleet is elsewhere. Most of the airport employees, and indeed at BA here as well, have been let go. The new office park constructed opposite the airport, completed in recent months, seems not to have a single occupier. Better times will come along, but for now it's a cold, deserted world.
We are all certainly hoping and praying for better days.....and our weather has been cool and rainy for most of this weekend as a strong cold front moves our way this afternoon. Looks like we'll experience freezing temps with our first frost of the season by this Tuesday morning.
Looking at the bright side, it appears that Hurricane Season 2020 in Louisiana (definitely one for the record books) is finally over and our indoor fireplace is ready for the advent of cold weather.
