It's not about "feeling good", it's about achieving results. Sure, bring regulations in where they can be effective. For example, banning large events makes sense and I absolutely support it. But limiting hours in bars is a very dubious solution, as there are way too many workarounds for those who want to keep socialising. Government is using its precious capital on something that will most likely have only a negligible effect. It seems to me as an act of desperation, rather than a meaningful effort.

Government officials admit too many people ignore guidelines these days (and my experience is sadly the same). There's no point throwing more regulations in before government manages to get these people on board.

I always percieved Swedish authorities as ones that understand the need to take the human/psychological element into account, which is why I find this move somewhat surprising.
