Leaving your area
  • people who live in a Level 3 area must not leave or remain away from that area, but can leave the area to travel to another part of that same Level 3 area, reasonable excuse exceptions
  • people who live in a Level 4 area must not leave or remain away from that area, but can leave the area to travel to another part of that same Level 4 area, reasonable excuse exceptions

Entering a Level 3/4 area
  • people who don't live in a Level 3 area must not enter or remain in that area, but can travel through in order to reach a place outside the Level 3 area, reasonable excuse exceptions
  • people who don't live in a Level 4 area must not enter or remain in that area, but can travel through in order to reach a place outside the Level 4 area, reasonable excuse exceptions

Reasonable excuse exceptions for leaving/entering Level 3/4 area
Examples include obtain or provide food or medical supplies, or essential household supplies, work where it is not possible to do so from home, access/provide/receive childcare or education, exercise outdoors etc.

Restrictions on leaving/entering Scotland
  • someone living in Scotland must not leave Scotland to go to any other part of the UK or Ireland, but can travel through those areas to reach a place outside UK or Ireland, reasonable excuse exceptions
  • someone living in any other part of the UK or Ireland must not enter or remain in Scotland, but can travel through Scotland to reach a place outside Scotland, reasonable excuse exceptions

Reasonable excuse exceptions on leaving/entering Scotland
Examples include obtain or provide food or medical supplies, or essential household supplies, work where it is not possible to do so from home, access/provide/receive childcare or education, exercise outdoors etc.
