The Health Protection (Coronavirus) (Restrictions and Requirements) (Scotland) Regulations 2020

- In force since 14 October 2020
- Applies to all of Scotland
- Restrictions on certain business to stay closed, and others to have limited opening hours
- No gatherings in public places of more than 6 and no more than 2 households
- No gatherings in private dwellings unless outdoors, no more than 6, and no more than 2 households
- Face coverings mandatory on public transport, and mandatory in most indoor public spaces
- No restrictions on travel within Scotland or to/from Scotland from the rest of the UK
- No longer has effect whilst The Health Protection (Coronavirus) (Restrictions and Requirements) (Additional Temporary Measures) (Scotland) Regulations 2020 is in force (see below)

- In force since 6pm 9 October 2020
- Applies to all of Scotland with additional restrictions in the protected area
- Restrictions on certain business to stay closed, and others to have limited opening hours including different hours for indoors and outdoors
- Restrictions on certain business to stay closed, and others to have limited opening hours
- No gatherings in public places of more than 6 and no more than 2 households
- No gatherings in private dwellings unless outdoors, no more than 6, and no more than 2 households
- Face coverings mandatory on public transport, and mandatory in most indoor public spaces

Additional restrictions in the protected area
- In addition to above, closure of licensed premises
- Unlicensed premises may not allow alcohol consumption on site and have restricted opening hours
- No restrictions on travel within Scotland or to/from Scotland from the rest of the UK
- Protected area is the local government areas of:
City of Glasgow
Clackmannanshire
East Ayrshire
East Dunbartonshire
East Renfrewshire
East Lothian
Edinburgh City
Falkirk
Inverclyde
Midlothian
North Ayrshire
North Lanarkshire
Renfrewshire
South Ayrshire
South Lanarkshire
Stirling
West Dunbartonshire
West Lothian
