Down grade now. As you are about to hit £10k on your next cycle, ring and upgrade to the BAPP, pay the £195 fee, spend whatever you need to get the voucher and once the voucher is in your BA account, ring and downgrade back to the free BA blue card and you will get a pro-rata refund.
And be sure to come back here and complain when they unexpectedly change the rules in a harsh and draconian manner.
