There should be no problem boarding a flight from DFW to LHR since the UK allows any passport holders to enter (subject to visa requirements) as long as those from non-exempt countries such as the US self-isolate for 14 days or leave the UK during self-isolation if staying less than 14 days. The fact you are transiting in London probably might not make any difference though you may have to show your papers again at LHR.
