I am in a similar boat in having miles expiring this month. I will probably be making a booking HKG-LHR one-way for July 2021, but not in anticipation of Cathay eventually cancelling. If in the event I wanted to re-schedule that flight I would expect to pay a financial supplement. Not sure the new points expiry date if me making a final cancellation or additional payments.
