Yeah my reason for preserving the points would have been to keep using the Crystal Concierge for point redemptions - which the Visa Sig would NOT allow. Pretty much no reason to downgrade other than AAoA.
Drats! I guess this means that I need to keep the Crystal for another year, as we were looking to book a high-end safari using a good chunk of our points, which we would’ve needed the concierge for. I hate to pay $400 for a card that I only charged about $10,000 to this year, but it is what it is. We don’t dare book anything for next summer until we are vaccinated for COVID.
