It was not - the airport agent could not touch the ticket. Incidentally, even though it was HK (hold confirmed), the ticket was in fact invalid and I had to call Avianca to re-ticket. Apparently they don't monitor (or haven't monitored) AC's bazillion schedule changes. It was re-ticketed without issue though. On check-in I could not even stand by for an earlier flight. So, despite the fact I could not change the flight, it was actually worth going early as I would have been screwed if I arrived late. Good ol' *Alliance. Note that this agent was noticeably uninterested in helping so YMMV.
