Actually there is a loophole for Canadians.

See link:

https://news.paxeditions.com/news/ai...es-intl-travel

Americans are not allowed to come to Canada either by land or by air.
Canadians are prohibited from going to USA by land only; not by air!

So Air Canada is operating (by re-opening covid 19 suspended routes) more and more transborder flights between Canada and USA.
But AC has not yet opened up flights between Canada and Hawaii.

If Canadians (for non-essential business) do fly to USA (eg as a tourist), they can fly back but they must self-isolate (quarantine) for 14 days.
One is typically advised to consider official sites for travel information. Updated today, Canada's travel advisory still says only essential travel to US is allowed:

https://travel.gc.ca/destinations/united-states

And the US site: https://ca.usembassy.gov/travel-rest...ns-fact-sheet/

So, I stand by my post that you cited above in your first line.
