Americans are not allowed to come to Canada either by land or by air.
Canadians are prohibited from going to USA by land only; not by air!
So Air Canada is operating (by re-opening covid 19 suspended routes) more and more transborder flights between Canada and USA.
But AC has not yet opened up flights between Canada and Hawaii.
If Canadians (for non-essential business) do fly to USA (eg as a tourist), they can fly back but they must self-isolate (quarantine) for 14 days.
One is typically advised to consider official sites for travel information. Updated today, Canada's travel advisory still says only essential travel to US is allowed:
