Important notice regarding your Qantas Cash facility
Dear James,
We are writing to advise you that Qantas Cash will be discontinued in New Zealand on 30 September 2020.
1 What does this mean for you?

After 31 July 2020 you will no longer be able to reload your Qantas Cash card (“Card”).

You can continue to access any remaining funds by using your Card to make purchases in store or online, withdraw funds from an ATM or cash out your balance online until 30 September 2020.

Check your account balance by accessing your account at qantascash.co.nz or by contacting Mastercard® Qantas Cash Global Support on 0800 101 500 or +61 1300 825 302 outside New Zealand (call charges may apply) and following the automated prompts.
2 What do you need to do?

Prior to 30 September 2020 you should use up any remaining funds on your Card in store or online, by withdrawal from an ATM or by cashing out your Card at qantascash.co.nz.*

3 Change of Issuer

We would also like to let you know that the Qantas Cash issuer will be changing from Travelex Card Services Ltd to EML Payment Solutions Limited. EML Payment Solutions Limited is part of the EML Payments group. The EML Payments group provides various payment solutions including prepaid currency card products and services.

This change will not happen immediately and will take effect in or around August 2020. No action is required from you and this change will happen automatically. Any funds you have on your Card will not be affected.
4 Travelex Card Services Limited Update

The issuer of Qantas Cash, Travelex Card Services Limited, requires us to share a supplementary document to the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS). Please review the document here. You should review this document alongside the original PDS which you can view here. You can also check our FAQ here if you have any questions.

Your Card will continue to work as normal until 30 September 2020 for local and overseas spend, everywhere Mastercard® is accepted. You can continue to use our self-service digital tools to load, reload, and manage your spend via My Account.
5 Forgotten your PIN?

If you have forgotten your PIN, or you wish to change your PIN at any time, you can do so simply by logging into your Qantas Cash facility and selecting ‘Card settings’. You can also select or change your PIN by calling Mastercard® Qantas Cash Global Support on 0800 101 500 or +61 1300 825 302 outside New Zealand (call charges may apply) and follow the prompts.

What I find odd is Section 3 regarding the change of issuer. If they're not running the program anymore then surely it's just a simple termination of the Travelex relationship? Surely they wouldn't go to the effort to change issuers only to almost immediately terminate their relationship with the new issuer. I wonder if this is a change similar to the Air NZ OneSmart card when they changed from BNZ to Travelex--they had to announce the termination of the BNZ-issued card and then announce the commencement of the new Travelex-issued card? Or perhaps that was meant for AU-issued cardholders only--if they're changing issuers over there and carrying on only for AU cardholders?

Hope someone can make more sense of this?
