To give an alternative view, if you are travelling as a family with kids (really any age including teenagers), then I consider Atlantis to be amazing The waterpark is great & extensive, in my view the best in the world, and the aquaria attractions are fascinating. and the hotel itself is fabulous in a Las Vegas-y way. But agreed it's not to everyone's taste, or budget.
